the buddy cop adventures begin (morning, day 2)

[ When Jason wakes up, it's with a start. His sleep after the Ranger had come to visit was fitful, and (unfortunately) devoid of the sexier dreams he had been hoping for that night. He sits up and rubs his head with a sound of distress, murmuring a few fucks and god-fucking-dammits for good measure, because even if Jason isn't the smartest guy, he knows that last night wasn't a dream. All that shit the Ranger had said sounded like a joke, but if she was serious? Fuck.

He puts on his pants (thankfully), and rubbing his hands through his hair again, he knows what he needs to do. Naoi was innocent, and really? If this shit was for real, he was going to need someone to help him out. Someone smarter than him, at least. And while the people he'd met yesterday were nice, they were also mostly women, and he didn't want to get them involved, and that Bigby guy? Well anyone that dissed Bud was downright un-American.

So after pacing around his bedroom, he leaves and goes to Naoi's instead. Naoi is probably awake by now too, so Jason opens his door urgently. ]

Hey, Hibachi! Fuck, man, you gotta listen to somethin' real quick... I'm bein' completely serious here.

It was more than just "a chick thing". Even Yui isn't that obsessed with her clothing. [well to be fair megumi wasn't either, naoi is just making it seem 10x worse in his head bECAUSE SHE INSULTED OTONASHI.] You should keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't do anything suspicious today.

[ And he does turn to leave, but at the door, he pauses and looks back as an afterthought to add: ] Oh, and thanks Nagoya. For believin' me, I mean. I wasn't sure if you would.

Well, there isn't any reason not to. This seems a little complex for you, anyway. [NAOI...] Just be careful with who you tell. —I mean, you're being cautious already, which is good. Still, if you aren't careful you'll wind up being the next one dead.
